Celestica's blowout quarter and 2027 outlook

The biggest thing in the feed is Celestica, which rose nearly 9.7% in after-hours trading on third-quarter results that beat on every line. Adjusted EPS was $3.30 against $1.58 a year earlier, revenue $5.83 billion, up 83% year on year, both above the top of the company's own guidance, with adjusted operating margin at 8.5%, which CEO Rob Mionis called another new high. What really moved it was the forward guide: an initial 2027 outlook of $40.0 billion revenue, $21.50 adjusted EPS and a 9.0% operating margin, implying roughly 90% growth, plus a note that 2028 customer demand forecasts sit meaningfully above the 2027 revenue number. Q4 guidance is $6.275 to $6.575 billion revenue and $3.37 to $3.57 EPS, and full-year 2026 revenue was lifted to $21.0 billion from $20.5 billion with EPS to $11.55. The company also said it intends to start a new normal-course issuer bid buyback in Q4. The article notes the stock had been as much as 45% below its 52-week high of $474.025 going in, and that investor doubts about 800G and 1.6T networking programs versus customer concentration were largely what the print answered. Nothing in the broad market explained the move: the article describes the S&P, Dow and Nasdaq as essentially flat into the close.

Amkor rallies on a mixed print

Amkor Technology rose 5.1% after hours despite missing on both lines. Adjusted EPS was $0.76 against consensus near $0.77 to $0.78, revenue $1.99 billion versus roughly $2.03 to $2.04 billion expected. The offset was profitability: gross margin at 18.3% against 14.3% a year ago, operating income $225 million versus $159 million, with CEO Kevin Engel flagging record revenue in Computing and Automotive & Industrial while Communications stayed a drag. The piece also points to an expanded AI infrastructure partnership with NVIDIA announced days earlier, taking multi-year capacity commitments across Amkor's South Korea and Arizona plants to $3 billion, and notes the stock had already shed about 59% from its 52-week high. A separate headline-only item frames the same move as the stock rising 4% after hours.

Nucor meets consensus and slips

Nucor went the other way, down about 0.5% after hours to $256. Q3 diluted EPS was $5.80 on net sales of $11.25 billion, matching consensus almost exactly, and management guided Q4 earnings to be in line with or modestly above Q3, language the article reads as underwhelming given how the stock had run into the print. It opened at $262.13 and touched $262.86 before the release. Barclays had raised its target to $306 from $295 ahead of the report with an Overweight rating. The article also flags a trailing P/E near double the five-year median and net insider selling over the past year. A headline-only item adds that revenue topped estimates even as EPS met.

Whirlpool and the rest of the earnings tape

Whirlpool is covered only by headlines here, which say it missed by $1.25 with revenue short of estimates and the stock tumbled 8% on weak guidance and the Q3 miss. The rest of the earnings headlines split both ways: misses at Greenbrier (by $0.43), Sun (by $0.12), Capital Bancorp (by $0.03) and Alexandria Real Estate (by $3.70, though revenue topped), in-line results with soft revenue at Custom Truck One Source, and beats at Flexsteel, Hawkins (shares up 12%), Agilysys (which fell anyway despite raised guidance), Rambus (beat but fell on guidance), Brixmor, Northwest Bancshares, Simpson Manufacturing, Dorman and CB Financial. Cadence Design Systems is headlined as a beat-and-raise with the stock surging. JetBlue headlines conflict in tone: one says shares jumped on Q3 results and the 2027 outlook, another says it posted a wider loss on surging fuel costs. Public Storage missed Q3 estimates but raised its 2026 outlook.

Customers Bancorp at a 52-week low

Customers Bancorp hit a 52-week low of $20.45, on a 6.24% dividend yield, a 9.61 P/E and a beta of 1.53, with the one-year change still positive at 2.39%. The article gives no reason for the low and in fact recaps a strong Q3: EPS $2.25, up 10% sequentially, ROE 14%, net interest income over $208 million (up 8%), loans up nearly $500 million to $18.5 billion, deposits up 4% to a record $22.6 billion, margin at 3.19% with a September run rate near 3.25%, non-interest expense down to $113.4 million, and full-year guidance raised to 12%-plus loan and 9%-plus deposit growth. The bank also claimed AI tools cut loan underwriting cycle time by 95% and commercial deposit onboarding by over 90%.

Mostly filings and chart posts

A large share of the 200 items is regulatory boilerplate with no content behind the headline: Form 8-K notices for D.R. Horton, Nasdaq, Celestica, Amkor, Rambus, Whirlpool, AZZ, Clearwater Paper, C&F Financial, H2O America, NewHydrogen, Applied Materials, Cincinnati Financial, the three Gladstone entities and others, Form 144s for Euroseas and Symbotic, a run of Form 4 director filings at the New York Times, and routine insider sale disclosures at Goldman Sachs, MIAX, First Interstate and Beacon Financial. Alongside that sits a block of Nasdaq screen-generated "crosses critical technical indicator" and oversold alerts, and a long tail of TradingView chart ideas on gold, EURUSD, DXY, bitcoin, ETH and the indices. None of it carries substance worth pulling out.

Corporate and sector odds and ends

A few headline-only items are worth knowing exist: Intel is to acquire quantum computing software firm Classiq; Applied Materials is raising its Besi stake to roughly 20%; Bank of America, Blackstone, Citi and Morgan Stanley are reported arranging $63 billion of AI financing; Ben & Jerry's is said by the WSJ to be exploring a deal with a KKR executive to separate the brand from its owner; Truelink Capital is to acquire Johnson Controls' intrusion unit; and a US judge declined to block Eli Lilly's weight-loss drug ads, ruling against Novo Nordisk. On commodities, headlines report sugar, cocoa and coffee all falling on a decline in the Brazilian real, and natural gas at a new six-and-a-quarter-month low on warm forecasts. Two Reuters/Ipsos poll headlines carry Trump approval rising to 32% from a record low a week earlier, and Democrats leading Republicans 47% to 36% on the generic congressional ballot.
