Veea down hard on a partnership announcement

VEEA is the worst mover on the list, down 13.6%, and the only news behind it is a positive one: a one-year deal announced October 6 with La Estadia, a community of 220 residential properties, to put Veea's SecureConnect platform and its Veea Vision edge-AI video analytics into the community's network. The GuruFocus piece spends most of its length on the balance sheet rather than the deal. Market cap is $18 million, price-to-sales is 28.3 against a historical median near 109x, the company is unprofitable so P/E doesn't apply, and the GF Score is 4 out of 100 with financial strength at 1/10 and an Altman Z-Score of -11.61. No guru holdings, no insider buying or selling in the past twelve months. The article does not explain today's drop.

Iovance 8-K

IOVA is down 8.4% with an 8-K filed under Item 8.01 (Other Events). That's headline only, so the contents aren't known from here. Given the size of the move against a filing that could say anything, this is the one worth opening yourself.

AST SpaceMobile up 8% despite a cut estimate

ASTS rose 8.0%, and the news flow is mixed. William Blair kept a Market Perform rating but cut its 2027 revenue estimate to $459 million from $752 million, blaming a slower launch cadence for the BlueBird II satellites and shipment delays. The firm now assumes fewer than 20 satellites in orbit by end-2026, against the company's own start-of-year expectation of at least 45. BlueBirds 14, 15 and 16 have shipped to Cape Canaveral, so another launch could come in the next few months, and Abel Avellan says BlueBird 11 is fully deployed with all 13 satellites performing. The offsetting item is the first completed integration test with TELUS, linking TELUS's wireless network to the satellite constellation for direct-to-phone data, voice and text, with service to TELUS customers expected within a year. Context from the same articles: Q2 showed adjusted EPS of -$0.77 against -$0.26 expected and revenue of $31.52 million versus $35.18 million expected, though sales more than doubled sequentially. B. Riley cut to Neutral with a $65 target from $85, Berenberg started at Buy with $92, Cantor raised to $90 at Overweight. Insiders have sold $451.6 million over twelve months against $0.8 million bought. ASTS also appeared on a GuruFocus list of communication services growth names with an A+ growth grade, at 155x sales versus a 62x historical median.

Astera Labs and the S&P 500 inclusion trade

ALAB is up 7.6% and there's an actual stated reason: traders positioning for inclusion in the S&P 500 at the next quarterly rebalance. Market cap near $47.6 billion clears the $22.7 billion minimum, passive funds are roughly 30% of assets tracking the index, and analysts have named it a top candidate. Fubon also initiated at Buy with a $500 target. The fundamentals behind it: Q2 revenue of $392.4 million, more than double a year ago and ahead of the $360.7 million expected, adjusted EPS of $0.80 versus $0.69, and Q3 guidance of $540-560 million at 72% gross margin and 43% operating margin. Scorpio X AI fabric switches are in volume production ahead of schedule and PCIe 6.0 products have passed 50% of quarterly revenue. The stock had been more than 36% off its $499.48 record before this rally. Two counterweights in the same batch: ETFs were net sellers of $16.4 million on Friday, a third straight day of outflows after $13.4 million Thursday and $17.7 million Wednesday, led by SOXX at $12.6 million and QQQ at $4.3 million. And a WarrenAI ranking put Credo first ahead of Astera and Marvell, flagging Astera's InvestingPro Fair Value at $230.05, implying 40.6% downside, against 98.5% revenue growth and 75.1% gross margin. A TradingView post argued against chasing the $400 gap and favoured a retest near $378.

Credo alongside Astera in the same networking ranking

CRDO is up 3.9% and sits at the top of that same WarrenAI list, with 165.1% revenue growth, 67.1% gross margin, debt to capital of 0.1%, Fair Value of $232.44 and an analyst target of $279.09. The piece noted optical DSPs, silicon photonics and ZeroFlap Optics were each expected to top $100 million of revenue in fiscal 2027. Separately and headline-only, Stifel lowered its Credo target to $310 and chief legal officer James Laufman sold 5,000 shares.

Nebius up 7.4% on a technical break

NBIS rose 7.4%, with GuruFocus describing a roughly 9% jump to around $253.25 that cleared the $250 resistance level on about 11.55 million shares by midday, with MACD positive and RSI near 70. It trades at 51.84x sales versus a 6.98x historical median, GF Score 52 with momentum at 9/10 and valuation at 2/10. Two days earlier the stock was down 3% to $235.00 when it announced the acquisition of inference optimizer Inferize, folded into Nebius Token Factory, with no price disclosed and no utilization target or savings figure given. That same piece noted Michael Burry had added to a bearish position ahead of an expected semiconductor downturn. On insiders, executives sold $19.07 million of shares at $234.16 to cover taxes on vested RSUs: Volozh about $8.85 million, Korolenko about $6.81 million, Shtan about $3.41 million, all filed as automatic rather than discretionary, with large positions retained. Twelve-month insider selling totals roughly $199 million. Quarterly revenue was $582.3 million, up 454% year over year, and the company signed a 12-year deal for 50 megawatts of AI data-centre capacity. Two TradingView posts take opposite sides, one looking for a retrace not below $205, another short on weak volume behind the breakout.

Butterfly Network hit a 52-week high and then fell

BFLY is down 7.2% despite an Investing.com piece noting it touched a 52-week high at $10.05, trading $10.15 for a $2.66 billion market cap and up 292.2% over a year. Q2 showed adjusted EPS of -$0.01 against -$0.04 expected but revenue of $15.72 million versus $29.15 million expected, with the company pointing to record margins and higher US sales and raising full-year guidance. Evercore ISI started at Outperform with a $15 target, Needham at Buy with $10. Separately there's an 8-K under Item 5.02, covering a departure or appointment of officers or directors, which is headline only here and is the likelier thing behind today's drop.

AMC financing 8-K

AMC is up 6.1% on an 8-K covering entry into a material definitive agreement, termination of another, and creation of a direct financial obligation, plus Reg FD disclosure. Headline only, but the item list points to a refinancing of some kind.

Broadcom rally with several threads

AVGO is up 3.7% and there are a dozen headlines on it, none read in full. The ones with actual content in the headline: the FT reporting Wall Street testing lender appetite for a $60 billion Broadcom-Anthropic deal, Cathie Wood buying $13 million of stock, net ETF buying of $373.5 million on October 2, UBS adjusting its TPU model on v10 design changes, and a GuruFocus piece saying power bottlenecks leave forecasts intact. A DCF item puts intrinsic value at $225 against a $355 price.

Revolution Medicines and the biotech selloff

RVMD is down 3.8%, and an IBD headline frames it as part of a broader biotech pullback hitting recent winners including Moderna and Vaxcyte. The company separately began a phase 3 pancreatic cancer trial. Both headline only.

Smaller analyst and insider items

Kodiak Gas Services is up 4.4%, with Barclays lowering its target to $67 and a Form 144 filed. Generac is up 3.9% with Cantor Fitzgerald cutting its target to $297, described in the headline as a valuation reset. On Holding is up 4.0% on a GuruFocus GF Score note. Xenon hit a 52-week low and is down 2.7%, while Guggenheim assumed coverage at Buy with a $73 target. SanDisk is down 2.6% and testing support near $1,670, with a separate Outperform reiteration at a $2,050 target. NetApp is up 2.1% on a TD Cowen target raise to $250, with CEO George Kurian selling 10,000 shares and director Gerald Held 5,757. Vicor is down 2.1% with the CEO selling $6.3 million and a VP selling 3,072 shares. Pagaya is down 1.9% after TD Cowen cut to $25, alongside a closed $600 million AAA-rated ABS deal.

Netflix, Oracle and the rest, quiet

The remaining names moved little. Netflix is up 1.8% with a cluster of pre-earnings notes: Goldman lowered its target to $90 on engagement concerns, TD Cowen reiterated at $100, StoneX kept Hold. Oracle is up 1.6% on a mix of a health data breach affecting nearly 20 million people, a $10 million donation to the Nashville Symphony, and insider buying of about $3.5 million. Amphenol hit an all-time high and is up 1.6%, with Goldman raising to $116. TSMC is down 0.7% despite a heavy news flow around Terafab talks with Musk that Musk confirmed without a deal, plus a Barclays target raise to $665. SpaceX is up only 0.5% across roughly thirty headlines covering a proposed 32-mile Florida gas pipeline for Starship, a Goldman target hike and Morgan Stanley's Overweight. Apple is flat at +0.2% under a long list of ETF flow items and insider sales including Tim Cook's $63.8 million. Everything else here, Joby, Vertiv, Marathon, Costco, TeraWulf, Si-Bone, Aflac, is routine filings and broker notes with no meaningful move.
