What's in the feed today

This is the unfiltered general wire on 27 October 2026, and most of it is bulk: SEC Form 8-K and Form 4 stubs with no text behind the headline, duplicate Investing.com UK and US versions of the same story, and a long run of TradingView chart posts. A handful of items were read in full and do carry real content, covered below. The common macro backdrop running through them is the Fed's 27-28 October meeting, with rates widely expected to be held, the S&P 500 up around 0.3%, the Nasdaq up about 0.5%, and VIX down roughly 3%. The FTSE 100 was the outlier, down about 1% with HSBC off 6.5% after a Q3 miss and Reckitt down 4.7%.

CoinShares buyback funded by selling its own crypto

CoinShares was the biggest single-stock move in the full-read set, up 5.3% in pre-open trade after its board activated a repurchase programme of up to $40 million. The board said Q3 2026 assets under management were broadly level with Q4 2025 and that buying back stock was a better use of capital than holding the equivalent digital assets, so it liquidated its entire corporate Ethereum treasury, around $16.6 million, and sold half its Solana holding, about $2.7 million, earlier in the month. Buying will be in the open market, possibly under Rule 10b5-1 plans, running until the next AGM expected in Q2 2027. The stock reached $3.99 against a 52-week high of $10.43. Separately the article notes CoinShares Digital Securities filed a new base prospectus for a secured debt programme covering its Bitcoin and Ethereum staking ETPs.

CoreWeave bounces off its 52-week low

CoreWeave rose 4.5% pre-open after announcing new compute capacity in Denmark and the launch of its first Global AI Network Backbone reaching into the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The piece frames this as the first company-specific good news after weeks of selling tied to the debt load, roughly $52 billion in total obligations with bond yields at record distressed levels earlier in the month. Two other supports are cited: Goldman Sachs had upgraded the stock to Buy from Neutral after the selloff, and Nvidia's CEO publicly called CoreWeave financially stronger with a falling cost of capital. The stock had bounced from a 52-week low of $51.24 and remains about 59% below its $141.79 high. Anthropic's IPO filing is mentioned repeatedly across the feed as a broader prop under AI infrastructure names.

Pentair beats and reaffirms

Pentair gained nearly 2.9% pre-open on Q3 adjusted EPS of $1.18 against $1.08 consensus, with revenue of $976 million versus $965.3 million expected. It reaffirmed full-year 2026 adjusted EPS of around $4.70 at the midpoint, above the $4.64 consensus, and guided Q4 to roughly $1.15 with sales growth of 7% to 9%. CEO John Stauch said execution improved with focus and urgency after a difficult second quarter in the Pool segment. The stock had been trading near its 52-week low of $51.13 going in.

CenterPoint raises guidance and its capital plan

CenterPoint reported adjusted EPS of $0.53 against $0.49 expected, with revenue of $2.12 billion exactly in line, and shares rose 1.67% premarket to $41.89. It lifted 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $1.90-$1.92 and introduced 2027 guidance of $2.07-$2.09, both around 9% growth. The bigger item is a 10-year capital plan raised to $70.7 billion from $66.7 billion, with $1.5 billion of projects pulled into the first five years, which management says supports rate base growth above 14% through 2030. Higher financing costs cost $0.04 a share in the quarter, and the company expects to issue $500-700 million of equity in 2027. CEO Jason Wells pointed to customer-driven growth in Greater Houston as the driver. Adjusted FFO-to-debt was 13.7%, debt-to-equity 2.1, dividend yield 2.33% with 56 straight years of payments. There is a separate headline-only slide-deck item on the same $4 billion capital boost.

PrairieSky Royalty, strong quarter, flat stock

PrairieSky posted adjusted EPS of $0.36 against $0.3176 expected, a 13.4% beat, on revenue of CAD 165 million, of which CAD 153.4 million was royalty production revenue, up 42.3% year on year. Funds from operations rose 42% to CAD 127.9 million. Royalty production averaged 26,936 boe/d, up 5%, with realised oil just over CAD 100 a barrel. Net debt fell CAD 63.6 million in the quarter and CAD 153.5 million year to date. The shares barely moved, at $36.70, near the top of a $24.76-$37.30 range. CEO Andrew Phillips flagged Duvernay growth, with only 22 of 81 wells spudded this year producing at quarter-end, and expects Western Saskatchewan thermal leases to add 4,000-5,000 royalty barrels between 2030 and 2040. Q4 dividend set at CAD 0.265.

Dorman Products, tariff pricing bites the margin

Dorman beat on adjusted EPS at $2.08 versus $2.00 but missed on revenue at $561.7 million against $565.71 million. Sales were a record for the quarter, up about 3%, but EPS fell 21% from $2.62 a year earlier and adjusted gross margin dropped 500 basis points to 39.4%. Management attributed the comparison problem to last year's third quarter benefiting from tariff-driven price increases before the matching costs landed. Full-year guidance was narrowed to 2-3% sales growth and adjusted EPS of $8.50-$8.70, citing soft DIY demand and further tariff-related price cuts in Q4. The stock was essentially unchanged premarket at $124.70. Buybacks have run to a record $112 million in the first nine months.

Stephens trims Simpson Manufacturing

Stephens cut its Simpson Manufacturing price target to $205 from $215, keeping Equal Weight. Q3 beat on volume and operating leverage, with adjusted EBITDA margin of 26.2% against the firm's 23% estimate, but gross margin missed on higher raw material and freight costs. Simpson raised full-year operating margin guidance slightly, though the implied Q4 margin excluding a land sale moves lower on steel and freight costs, with price increases to be announced in coming weeks. Steel is over 50% above last year. Simpson also authorised a $1 billion open-ended buyback. Stephens' stated caution is a softer 2027 housing backdrop.

Form 8-K stubs with no content

A run of 8-K items carries only the filing headline plus a ticker move, no description of what was filed. For the record, the attached moves were Artiva Biotherapeutics down 31.01%, Envoy Medical down 8.15%, IP Strategy Holdings up 7.51%, Esquire Financial up 3.76%, Microbot Medical up 3.31%, GrabAGun up 2.44% and Itron up 0.09%. Nothing in the material explains any of these, so treat them as pointers to the filings rather than news. There is a separate headline saying IP Strategy Holdings regained Nasdaq compliance after a filing delay, which may or may not be the same event.

FX and commodity chart posts

Two FXCM technical posts were read in full and both are short setups: silver at four-hour timeframe with entry at 56.716, stop at 58.619 and target 53.094, and dollar-Swiss franc with entry 0.83360, stop 0.83947, target 0.82529. Both cite price below the Ichimoku cloud. These are third-party chart ideas, not analysis with an underlying event behind them. The feed carries a dozen more of the same type headline-only across gold, Nasdaq, Dow, bitcoin and various crosses.

The rest, headline-only

The remaining bulk is earnings headlines without text: Whirlpool missing and dropping premarket, ADNOC Drilling posting record Q3, Nokian Tyres, IndiaMART, Maruti Suzuki, Teknosa, Inderes, JSW Infrastructure, Daqo narrowing losses, Royal Caribbean raising full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $17.85-$17.95, TransUnion with 12% revenue growth. Several corporate actions: aTyr Pharma doing a 1-for-40 reverse split effective 28 October, WF Holding a 1-for-25, Rentokil a $200 million buyback, Arlo $100 million, Terrestrial Energy $25 million, Invesco a $1.5 billion term loan to repurchase preferred, General Motors moving its listing to Nasdaq on 17 November. A cluster of Cantor Fitzgerald reiterations across Faeth, Flagstar, Merck at $145 and Custom Truck, plus Argus downgrading Abbott on a guidance cut and raising Kinder Morgan. On macro, durable goods rose but missed forecasts, core capital goods rose in September, and Case-Shiller home prices came in at 2.7% year on year against 2.6% expected. On AI, headlines report AMD investing $1 billion in Meta's equity offering as part of a superintelligence infrastructure partnership and Nvidia committing $3 billion to the same Meta offering. A Reuters poll headline puts 2026 average gold at $4,495/oz and silver at $70.30/oz; UBS is reported raising its year-end Brent forecast to $110. None of these were read in full.
