Microsoft's Azure quarter

The biggest piece of real substance in the feed is Microsoft's fiscal Q1 2027, covered in full. Revenue came in at $92.3 billion, up 19% year over year against consensus near $90.7 billion, and adjusted EPS of $4.89 beat the $4.72 expected. Azure was the standout: up 48% to $33.2 billion, ahead of the company's own 44%–45% guidance and up from $29.4 billion the prior quarter. Commercial backlog reached $677 billion, up 73%. The article notes Microsoft stayed cash-flow positive even with capex roughly doubling, which speaks directly to the AI-spending-discipline worry that had been hanging over Big Tech since Meta's results. The stock rose 4.5% after hours to $554.68, above its prior 52-week high of $551.15. The Nasdaq had closed the regular session down 0.6% ahead of the Fed decision on October 29, with rates widely expected to hold at 3.75%–4.00%.

Alphabet misses on earnings, cloud booms

Alphabet is the mirror image and it's covered from several angles here. The earnings item reports Q3 EPS of $2.12 against a $3.02 estimate, a $0.90 miss, on revenue of $127.6 billion versus $127.22 billion expected. Headlines around it say shares fell 7% after hours despite the cloud number, with separate posts breaking out Google Cloud revenue up 102.6% to $30.7 billion and operating income up 209.4% to $11.1 billion, Search up 12% to $63.4 billion, YouTube ads up 9.2%, and Alphabet raising roughly $41.1 billion in the quarter through $28.7 billion of senior unsecured notes and $12.4 billion of at-the-market equity. Another headline flags heavier-than-expected cash burn from cloud spending. So the two megacaps reporting the same evening were judged on the same question, AI capex versus returns, and landed on opposite sides.

Bausch Health earnings and balance sheet

Bausch Health rose 11.5% after hours on Q3 2026 results. Adjusted EPS was $1.77 against consensus near $1.27, revenue $2.94 billion against $2.72–$2.75 billion expected and up roughly 10% year on year. Management raised full-year revenue guidance to $10.975–$11.175 billion and lifted the adjusted EBITDA outlook. The board also authorised a $50 million buyback starting early November, aimed at offsetting dilution from employee equity, and the company said it will fully redeem about $643 million of 8.500% senior notes due 2027 from cash on hand, with a November 30 redemption date. The article is explicit that the broader tape gave no help, with the S&P 500 off 0.3% and the Nasdaq down 1.0%, so the move was all company news.

Other reported results read in full

Carvana posted Q3 EPS of $0.39, five cents below the $0.44 estimate, on revenue of $8.04 billion versus $7.67 billion expected; the stock had closed at $59.06, down about 5% over three months and 16.6% over twelve. A separate headline quotes the CEO citing retail units up 39% to a record 217,385 and net income up 83.7% to $483 million, with shares up 8% after hours. Mechanics Bancorp missed by eight cents at $0.20 EPS but beat on revenue, $225.72 million against $199.63 million. Happen beat by five cents at $0.50 while revenue of $263.16 million fell short of the $273.48 million expected; it guided Q4 EPS to $0.43–$0.48 against $0.46 consensus and FY26 to $1.87–$1.92 against $1.85.

Earnings headlines beyond the full reads

A long list of results sits here as headlines only, with no detail beyond what each line states. Beats: Ford (by $0.08, revenue topped, with other headlines saying it raised guidance and shares edged lower), T-Mobile (by $0.33, plus a raised annual free cash flow forecast), Gen Digital, Align, MYR Group (by $0.83), Sterling Infrastructure (by $1.38), Everspin, Origin Bancorp, Regional Management, Alerus Financial, McGrath, Cohu (on AI demand), Flowserve, and Glaukos, said to be up 13% on the beat and raised guidance. Misses and weak reactions: Everest by $0.53 with revenue short, ServiceNow down 16% after hours, Fortinet with revenue growth described as underwhelming, Align down 5% on a weak Q4 revenue outlook despite the beat, and Sprouts Farmers Market down 15% on guidance and a Q3 miss. Also here: eBay up on Q3, Chipotle beating on sales, FedEx raising its outlook, Honeywell Aerospace lifting its second-half free cash forecast, Stellantis reporting €37.6 billion of net revenues, and Infosys at $5,145 million with $5.2 billion of large deal TCV.

Fed, macro and geopolitics

Headlines carry the Fed holding rates steady as expected with two policymakers preferring a 25bp hike, and Wall Street ending slightly higher after it. Bessent soundbites cover an energy supply shock and a wish for the Fed to keep an open mind, confidence in Warsh, and an expectation of a strong Q3 GDP print. Separately, Vance has reportedly written to Iran's top security official to restart talks ahead of possible US strikes after the midterms, per the WSJ lines in the feed. Commodity headlines: cocoa lower on rising ICE inventories and possible Brazilian sales, sugar higher on reduced Brazilian milling, coffee at a two-week low on a weaker real and arriving beans, nat gas up on cooler forecasts and restored LNG shipments.

Corporate actions and analyst notes

Smaller items with real content: Markel entered a $2.3 billion reinsurance deal with Enstar, Amrize completed a $1 billion buyback, Radian named Daniel Kobell CFO, Q2 Holdings appointed Jonathan Price co-CEO and reported Q3 revenue of $225.8 million with raised guidance, Rio Tinto is adding lithium plants in Argentina, and SPACCircle Acquisition closed a $100 million Nasdaq IPO. Analyst moves, all headline-only: Oppenheimer raised its Masco target on earnings growth, Stifel took GE HealthCare to $90 on a strong Q3, Mizuho raised AxoGen to $65, Jefferies raised Etsy to $100, and Freedom Broker upgraded Royal Caribbean on Q3 results. Routine dividends from PVH, IFF, Black Hills and Hennessy Advisors.

The rest is filing noise

A large share of the 200 items is boilerplate. Ten of the twenty full reads were Form 8-K stub pages from Investing.com for Axis Capital, Q2 Holdings, SEACOR Marine, KLA, Universal Display, Pitney Bowes, CONMED, Houlihan Lokey, Morningstar, Impinj, UFP Industries and ABM, and they contain nothing beyond the ticker and the filing date. Add to that a run of Nasdaq screener outputs on oversold ETFs and moving-average crosses, a batch of TradingView chart posts on bitcoin, ETH, gold and FX pairs, and assorted insider Form 4s. Nothing in that group carries information worth your time.
