What this feed actually is

Of the 200 items here, the large majority are retail TradingView chart posts, and only 19 were read in full. Most of the list is one-line setup titles on gold, bitcoin, FX pairs and synthetic volatility indices, with no reporting behind them. The genuine news content is a handful of items: two deals, a Musk renaming story, an Iranian ministerial resignation, and some Middle East escalation. Below is the substance that exists.

AkzoNobel selling south-east Asian paints to Nippon

The one properly reported story, carried twice in the feed and once more as a headline variant. The FT reported Sunday that AkzoNobel is close to selling its south-east Asian decorative paints business to Nippon Paint for more than $1 billion, with agreement possible as early as Monday. The operations covered are Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, plus Papua New Guinea and Australia. The stated logic is CEO Grégoire Poux-Guillaume's plan to exit peripheral markets where AkzoNobel is not the leader, ahead of the merger with Axalta announced in November, which shareholders approved in August and which would create a New York-listed group with roughly $25 billion enterprise value, about $17 billion annual revenue and dual Amsterdam and Philadelphia headquarters. The article notes the disposal is separate from Axalta regulatory approval, and follows the 2025 agreement to sell the Indian business to JSW for about €1.4 billion. For Nippon this is a consolation prize after two failed runs: a €7.5 billion offer in July for the whole decorative paints business, and a €13 billion joint approach with Sherwin-Williams in May. Sources told the FT Nippon still wants the larger business, though integrating south-east Asia could take a while and Akzo isn't planning further disposals from it. Page quotes showed AKZO up 2.24% and Axalta up 1.10%, with Nippon (4612) down 1.82%.

Schneider-PTC, headline only

Separately, a headline says Schneider Electric is nearing a roughly $20 billion deal to buy US software group PTC, per the FT. That's all the item gives.

Nasdaq desk note and the jobs number behind it

The most detailed market piece read in full is a NAS100 week-ahead from F0rexBorex. It reports Friday's US jobs report at 29K against 89K expected with unemployment at 4.2%, which was read as rate-cut-friendly and pushed the Nasdaq to a record 31,057.22 before it was sold back over 220 points to close at 30,833.77. The author maps resistance at 30,922, 30,960 and the record high, support at 30,781, 30,698 and Friday's 30,615 low, and flags the week's calendar: ISM Services Monday, BOJ Governor Ueda Tuesday, FOMC minutes Wednesday 18:00 UTC as the key event, claims Thursday, UoM sentiment Friday. It's one trader's framework, not reporting, but the jobs figures and calendar are concrete.

The FX and gold chart crowd, and where they disagree

A cluster of posts takes opposite sides of the same pairs. FabsTech published bullish October outlooks on AUDUSD, EURUSD and GBPUSD within the same hour, with the GBPUSD note looking for at least 500 pips from a swing point and confirmation after the open. AlgoTrading-Kavannasri runs the other way on both, holding a bearish higher-timeframe view on EURUSD and GBPUSD, arguing EURUSD has already hit its sell-side liquidity target and reached roughly -2 to -2.5 standard deviations so may consolidate, while GBPUSD offers the cleaner downside and is their preferred short, citing an SMT divergence against EURUSD during the NFP session and Wednesday's FOMC as reason to wait. Fusion Markets describes AUDUSD inside a symmetrical triangle testing rising support at 0.6900 to 0.6920. On gold, zarixschool says the weekly decline looks mature but the daily is still in bearish correction and expects one more leg lower before a weekly bottom, listing downside levels at 4,143, 4,086, 3,999 and 3,892 and upside references at 4,263, 4,602, 5,141 and 5,368, explicitly not buying yet. Roughly a dozen further gold headlines sit alongside it, split between bearish structure and buy signals. Gold futures quoted on the Investing page were 4,172.10, down 0.72%.

Bitcoin posts

Two full-read bitcoin charts are both constructive near the same prices. FX_TRADER_87 has BTC around 85,280 after a low at 83,900 to 84,000, resistance at 85,500 to 85,600 then 86,000, support at 84,800 to 84,900, invalidation below 84,400. GOLD_MARKET_INSIGHT posted a brief bullish breakout call targeting the swing high. The headline-only bitcoin items run the full spread, including one calling for a crash toward $62-63K by November/December 2026, so there is no consensus in this feed.

Musk, Grok and SpaceXSI

Several items circle the same thing. Musk said he will rename SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI, adopting Trump's push to replace "artificial intelligence" with "super intelligence", confirming on X with "Yes, we will make that change" and no timeline given. Two Musk posts read in full are promotional: one amplifying a thread about Grok Bot engineer Lauren Tan shipping 2,500 PRs in a month, the other amplifying that Farmersville, California voted 4-1 to use Grok to draft council meeting minutes from recordings, proofread by the city clerk, with the city manager calling it more affordable and thorough. Related headlines claim Grok 4.7 ranks first on the AA Cyber Index.

Energy and geopolitics

Javier Blas reports Iranian oil minister Mohsen Paknejad has resigned per state media, with no reason given, after taking the post in August 2024; Hamid Bovard is acting minister. A second headline carries the same resignation. Blas separately reports Saudi-backed Yemeni forces have launched a full-scale attempt to retake all Houthi-held areas after weeks of escalation. The Investing.com page rails also carried OPEC+ holding output targets steady with Middle East conflict tightening supply, and bitcoin edging above $85,000 as traders weigh a US leveraged-crypto move, both as sidebar links rather than items read here.

Everything else

The remainder is low-signal: individual Indian and Pakistani stock chart calls, altcoin setups, synthetic index updates, a few corporate one-liners on Lam Research, Applied Materials, Materion and Western Digital with no text behind them, a handful of Trump and Ackman social posts, and three OilPrice headlines on space-based solar, floating power plants and private equity buying fossil fuels. Nothing in that tail carries reporting worth summarising.
