Celularity recapitalizes, stock up 14.4%

Celularity is the biggest mover on the list, up 14.4% after closing an initial tranche of a recapitalization. It raised over $10 million gross from a private placement of senior secured convertible notes and warrants, part of a plan contemplating up to $25 million in new cash and restructuring roughly $3 million of existing debt. The notes run 24 months at 10% annual interest compounded annually, convertible at $1.50, with five-year warrants also struck at $1.50. Management says monthly cash burn is down by more than $1 million through personnel cuts and resource reallocation, and it expects positive monthly operating cash flow by the end of Q1 2027, based on higher manufacturing revenue and deploying existing inventory. That inventory is cenplacel-L, its investigational placenta-derived cell therapy, which management estimates at about $40 million in potential sales value, to be sold through commercial relationships in jurisdictions where that is legally permitted. Philip Barach joins a newly constituted five-member board alongside Robert Hariri and Peter Diamandis, with two seats still to be named. Odeon Capital was placement agent, and further closings are not guaranteed.

Nebius upgrade and the pricing story

Nebius is up 7.5%, and there are seven items on it covering the same event from different angles. BNP Paribas Exane's Stefan Slowinski moved the stock from Neutral to Outperform and raised his target to $399 from $260, about 76% above the prior close of $226.61. The substance behind the call is pricing: Nebius told customers that from October 1 it is raising on-demand GPU cloud prices on Nvidia H100, H200, B200 and B300 instances by roughly 17-21%, and AMD EPYC Genoa CPU rates by about 25%, the second increase in a matter of months. Q2 AI cloud revenue was $574.9 million with an adjusted EBITDA margin near 50%, and BNP's case runs to nearly $22 billion in annual recurring revenue by end-2027. The move was company-specific, with the Nasdaq, S&P and Dow all slightly lower on the day. A related JPMorgan note makes the same argument at CoreWeave, upgraded to Overweight with a $125 December 2027 target, citing 25% price changes in July, roughly $40 million per megawatt on Q3 contracts, contracted power up to 4.2 gigawatts from 3.1 at end-2025, and management's claim that higher pricing adds 5 to 10 points to contribution margins on new deals. The counterweight: Michael Burry said in a September 22 Substack post that he added "in some size" to shorts in Nebius, Micron, Palantir and the SOXX semiconductor ETF, pointing to Acer CEO Jason Chen's comment that DDR4 has "more sellers than buyers" and calling the Nasdaq 100 historically overvalued and top-heavy. GuruFocus notes Nebius trades around 50x sales against a historical median near 7, insiders have sold $179.9 million over twelve months with no buying, while 7 of 8 tracked gurus added.

Planet launches Amazon.ia

Planet Labs is up 7.9% after announcing Amazon.ia, a multi-partner initiative to monitor Amazon biodiversity using satellite imagery and AI. The Bezos Earth Fund granted more than $14 million across the Andes Amazon Fund and the World Resources Institute. Planet is a founding partner among more than two dozen organizations including MIT, Arizona State, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Microsoft AI for Good Lab, Smithsonian ForestGEO, WCS and WWF. The programme combines satellite and ground data to produce change alerts, biodiversity status and protected-area effectiveness assessments. The article does not disclose any revenue to Planet from the initiative.

Iovance reinstated at Buy

Iovance is up 6.0% after Goldman Sachs reinstated coverage with a Buy and a $15 target. Goldman's stated reasoning is that early logistical and operational hurdles around the launch of Amtagvi, its approved tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte therapy for unresectable or metastatic melanoma, are easing, which should improve gross margins. The accompanying data: market cap around $4.6 billion, price-to-sales of 12.9 against a historical median near 11, trailing EPS of -0.72 with deeply negative operating margins, but strong liquidity with a current ratio of 4.35 and an Altman Z-Score of 10.76. The stock is up 180% over 24 weeks and 392% over 52 weeks. One tracked guru holds and has added; no insider trades reported.

Surf Air's second software contract

Surf Air Mobility is up 5.0% on two announcements. It signed a definitive agreement with SkyDance Air for OperatorOS, its second commercial contract for the product, earning a percentage of revenue on all SkyDance flights run through the software. SkyDance operates three aircraft, is the second largest single-fleet operator of Cirrus Vision Jets in North America, and plans to expand to roughly 10 aircraft in 2027. Surf Air's stated goal is five operators live on the platform by end-2026. OperatorOS is powered by Palantir, has run Southern Airways and Mokulele internally since 2025, and was recently approved by the FAA as an authorized system of record for electronic signatures and recordkeeping. Separately, Barrett Brown was named President of SurfOS effective September 30; he spent 2013 to 2024 at Palantir, including as Head of Asia from 2018, and later was VP and Head of APAC at Maxar.

Oracle force majeure cluster

Oracle is down 3.3% and carries by far the most headlines here, all circling one event. Reports say Oracle sent a force majeure notice to the developer of Project Jupiter, a large New Mexico data center tied to the Stargate buildout, with headlines citing regulatory, power supply and public opposition issues and risk to a 2028 AI data center target. A quoted Oracle line says force-majeure notices are commonplace in developments of this scale and are often used to preserve contractual rights among project partners. Separate headlines flag Oracle AI-linked debt trading at a wider spread, several Form 4 insider sales including CEO Michael Sicilia at $3.42 million and EVP Maria Smith at $399,122, an Oracle Japan Q1 FY27 report with cloud revenue up 32%, and partnerships with Surescripts on prior authorization and ID.me on digital identity. These are headline-only, so the detail behind the force majeure story isn't in hand.

Rocket Lab and the ARK buy

Rocket Lab is up 4.8%, with six headlines all pointing at the same thing: Cathie Wood's ARK bought about $25 million of the stock while selling Alphabet, ahead of an upcoming mission. Headline-only, so no further detail. Two technical-analysis headlines on the name point in opposite directions.

Other analyst notes and smaller movers

Revolution Medicines is up 4.6% on a Goldman Sachs reinstatement at Buy with a $267 target, headline-only. Xenon is up 4.0% with one headline flagging a 30% crash and a conference appearance, which don't obviously fit together from headlines alone. Teva is up 3.0%, with Oppenheimer initiating at Outperform and a Bank of America healthcare conference transcript. TPX.L is up 4.1%, described as 8.5% on 1.5 times its own ATR20 but on only 0.1 times average volume. On the downside, SanDisk is off 3.4% with a mix of bullish chart headlines and a note about a $2,400 target, and Broadcom is down 1.3%, with headlines citing an FT report that China is reviewing Broadcom switch use in state-backed data centers and a note on its $230 billion AI target.

The rest

Everything else on the list moved about a percent or less. Apple has a long headline tail, mostly the extended Qualcomm patent licensing agreement, a BofA note keeping a $370 target while flagging mixed iPhone 18 demand signals, and assorted chart pieces, but the stock is down just 0.3%. Amphenol drew a Bernstein initiation at Outperform, TeraWulf a UBS initiation at Buy, and On Holding target raises from BMO to $33, Barclays to $44 and Needham to $40. None of those names moved more than 1.2%. Nothing there needs a second look today.
