Snowflake's $3.5 billion convertible and the dilution reaction

The one substantive article, carried twice by Investing.com, reports via The Information that Beijing may let Alibaba and ByteDance buy Nvidia's new RTX Pro 5500 chips. China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology asked domestic firms to report how many units they intend to buy and what for, which the piece reads as intent to approve. The RTX Pro 5500 is a Blackwell-generation professional workstation GPU released this month, 84 GB of GDDR7 memory and 21,760 CUDA cores, starting above $6,000 per TechPowerUp. The article's point is that it sits outside the data-centre accelerator class targeted by US export controls since October 2022, so Beijing has more room to wave it through. Timing follows last week's Xi-Trump summit, where export controls appeared in neither side's readout; USTR Jamieson Greer told CNBC that controls treated as national security issues were "taken off the table" in trade talks, and China's foreign ministry left them out of its list of eight summit deliverables, per the South China Morning Post.

Movers embedded in the filing pages

The one thing those Form 4 pages do carry is a live quote for the company named. Getty Images was down 12.97% on the day its filing posted, by far the biggest move among them, and the page gives no reason for it. Fluence Energy was up 5.23%, Satellogic up 3.87%, Oscar Health up 2.53%, Alnylam up 2.55% and J.Jill up 2.41%. On the other side, Dow was down 1.89% and Seaport Entertainment down 1.06%. Micron, Pinterest, Plug Power, Upwork, Helios, HealthStream, Phreesia, Sezzle, Hyliion and Heritage Insurance were all within roughly a point of flat.

Iran says it won't soften its Hormuz demands after Trump rejected a proposal, and separately Iran's army voiced readiness for a renewed U.S. attack — worth noting alongside Brent down 2.02% to 97.44 and WTI down 2.29% on the day. There's a piece asking whether Europe's data centre boom could revive nuclear power, an Investing.com roundup of five big analyst AI moves in which Meta's Muse AI is framed as a major catalyst and Microsoft is upgraded, and a note that Republicans are pouring money into House races previously considered safe. None states who traded, how many shares, or at what price. So treat the Form 4 lines below as pointers to filings, not as stories.

Biggest movers visible in the filing pages

The one useful thing those wrapper pages carry is the intraday quote attached to each ticker. Getty Images is the outlier, down 12.97%, with a duplicate filing item for the same name. Fluence Energy is up 5.23%, Satellogic up 3.87%, Alnylam up 2.55%, Oscar Health up 2.53%, J.Jill up 2.41%, Dow down 1.89% and Seaport Entertainment down 1.06%. Boeing 737 MAX software fault

The one piece of genuine news in this feed is the WSJ report, carried twice by Investing.com, that Boeing has found a software glitch on the 737 MAX which can disable an automated navigation function during a landing after a missed approach. It showed up after a cockpit software update and can trigger when pilots change their planned flight path following a missed approach, leaving crews to fly manually without some autopilot functions at low altitude. Boeing told MAX operators in late August that it did not consider this a safety risk, and is working on both a fix and a procedure for pilots to restore the function. Southwest and United have asked Boeing not to deliver new aircraft carrying the affected software and to use the earlier version instead. The FAA is investigating. Boeing says it first learned of the issue in November 2024 but decided then it didn't meet the criteria for a safety review, opening a formal review only this month after more airline feedback. The permanent fix was originally scheduled for early 2028 and Boeing says it is trying to pull that forward. Fintel via Nasdaq reports Barclays started coverage of Ligand Pharmaceuticals (the OTC line, LGNDZ) at Overweight on 25 September. That follows HC Wainwright reiterating Buy on 24 September and Citigroup maintaining Buy on 23 September. The consensus count for September is 16 ratings: 7 strong buy, 8 buy, 1 hold, or 93.8% positive, up from 15 ratings the prior month. The consensus target figures in the piece are reported as $0.00 mean and median, down 76.23% from $0.01, which looks like a data artefact of the OTC line rather than anything meaningful. The article describes Ligand as a licensing-driven biopharma whose main platform is Captisol, used to improve solubility, stability and bioavailability of active ingredients.

Well over half the section is TradingView technical posts, and they carry no news.
