Iovance up 32% on a big guidance raise
IOVA is the day's outlier, up 32.1%, and the reason is concrete. In a Form 8-K filed Tuesday morning, Iovance lifted full-year 2026 total revenue guidance to $410-$420 million from $350-$370 million, roughly 15% higher at the midpoint, above the analyst consensus of about $402.8 million and implying close to 60% annual growth. Management attributed it to sustained and accelerating demand for Amtagvi (lifileucel) and Proleukin across US treatment centres. Interim President and CEO Frederick Vogt pointed to the record second quarter, $99.3 million of product revenue at a 56% gross margin, as giving visibility into the back half, and the update closes out the formal review flagged when Q2 was reported in August. The authorised treatment centre network is approaching 100 with a year-end target of at least 110. The stock hit a 52-week high of $11.17 at the open and closed at $14.45, up 31.48% on the day, on volume of roughly 75.8 million shares against a 16.6 million average. Q3 results are due 5 November.
The analyst side of the Iovance move
Two separate notes sit behind and alongside the guidance. Goldman Sachs resumed coverage days earlier, analyst Andrea Newkirk with a Buy and a $15 target, citing Amtagvi's Q2 of $91 million in sales across 150 patients, easing availability constraints, and a proprietary physician survey showing strong demand for the drug as second-line melanoma treatment. Separately, HC Wainwright's Joseph Pantginis maintained Buy and raised his target from $9 to $20, though note that GuruFocus item is internally inconsistent on dates, it is tagged 29 September 2026 but describes the action as taken on 24 October 2023. The GuruFocus coverage also flags the other side: Iovance is still unprofitable, with TTM profit margin around -89%, negative free cash flow, and a price-to-sales ratio well above its historical median of about 11. One of the five IOVA items also headlines the move as +19.2% on volume 0.3x average, which contradicts the closing data on the same page showing +31.48% on 4.6x average volume, so treat that line as unreliable.
BeyondSpring and VerifyMe both down hard
BYSI is down 31.0% and the only item is an 8-K covering entry into a material definitive agreement plus other events. Headline only, so the contents of that agreement aren't described here, and it's the obvious thing to pull the filing on. Oracle up 4% with genuinely mixed news
ORCL rose 4.0% to $137.91 on 42.6 million shares. The likely driver is the OpenAI read-across: Investor's Business Daily, citing Axios, reports OpenAI's annualised revenue run rate has grown more than 70% since the start of the year to close to $70 billion on enterprise sales strength, which lifted Oracle and other OpenAI-linked names even as OpenAI scrapped a release plan for its next model. Against that, a Reuters-sourced GuruFocus piece describes Oracle invoking force majeure over Project Jupiter, the 1,400-acre STACK Infrastructure data centre in New Mexico built for OpenAI, which may slip about a year on power procurement difficulties. The project has raised roughly $18 billion in loans with about $3 billion of Blue Owl equity, and Blue Owl earns 9% during development rising to around 11% levered once complete. Blue Owl says the notice doesn't change its commitments. Elsewhere, Oppenheimer put Oracle among software vendors with AI businesses over $1 billion while noting buyers now want measurable returns; Oracle reported $11.6 billion of quarterly cloud revenue, up 62%, with cloud infrastructure more than doubling to $7.4 billion, but free cash flow of negative $5 billion. Oracle Financial Services also launched two AI products for financial crime investigation, Nexus Case Flow and Nexus Reach, at the ACAMS conference in Las Vegas. Two GuruFocus valuation pieces put GF Value at $193.13 against Monday's $132.60 close, a 31.3% discount, but tag it a possible value trap, and note insiders sold $119.1 million over twelve months with no buying. BeyondSpring was the biggest mover on the list, up 44.1% to $1.12 on Monday's close, on volume of 3.49 million shares against an 820,000-share average. The Yahoo quote page read in full gives no reason for the move, but there's an 8-K on the list the same day, headline-only, flagging Item 1.01 entry into a material definitive agreement plus an Item 8.01 other-events disclosure, which is the obvious place to look. Worth knowing the context: the company is a clinical-stage oncology name with a $46 million market cap, $6.53 million of cash, 44 employees, and a five-year return of -92.6%, and even after Monday it is down 31% year to date. The same page shows a pre-market print of $0.8241, down 26.4%, so a good chunk of the pop was already unwinding.
AMC at a 52-week high on a repaired balance sheet
AMC was up 11.9% and printed a 52-week high of $3.19, which Investing.com puts at a 210% gain over six months against a 1-year change of just 5.83%. The article ties the run to real operating news rather than sentiment alone: record Q2 2026 revenue and EBITDA, revenue up 14.2% and adjusted EBITDA up about 37% year on year, helped by the Spider-Man: Brand New Day opening at $355 million domestic and $927 million global. Alongside that, AMC has put through a $3.97 billion refinancing, including $2 billion of first-lien notes and an $850 million first-lien term loan, which drove a Moody's upgrade of the corporate family rating to B3 from Caa2 and liquidity to SGL-3 from SGL-4, plus an S&P upgrade to B- from CCC+ citing better operating performance and a path to sustained positive free cash flow. Credo fell 8.7% to $192.67. Investing.com attributes it specifically to a newly disclosed Form 4 covering insider selling on September 26 by the co-founder and CTO through the Cheng Huang Family Trust, the latest in a run of such filings, landing while the stock is still recovering from an 18-20% single-session drop after Q1 fiscal 2027 results in early September. Mizuho cut its target to $245 from $290 on September 21 and JPMorgan went to $310 from $335 on September 2, both maintaining positive ratings. The options coverage is the useful part: the put/call ratio ran at 1.44 against an average of 0.38, and 30-day implied volatility rose 2.3 points to 78.08, which the writer reads as traders buying downside protection. On fundamentals, GuruFocus flags a GF Score of 43, financial strength and profitability both 2/10, momentum 8/10, a P/S of 39.79 against a 12.45 three-year median, debt-to-equity of 35.56, an Altman Z-Score of -0.64, and a GF Value of $5.74 versus the market price. Insiders sold $36.1 million over twelve months against $0.4 million bought.
Navitas wins an Army contract after the close
Navitas closed down 3.9%, but the news on the list is dated the following morning and points the other way. The Army selected it for the ALATTIS program to develop 10 kV silicon carbide power semiconductors, extending its GeneSiC range above the 6.5 kV devices it makes today, and building a domestic manufacturing process for ultra-high-voltage SiC that the article says does not currently exist in the US. The award value was not disclosed. The article notes the price sits above InvestingPro's fair value of $2.93. The background it gives is genuinely substantial: record Q2 2026 revenue, up 14.2%, with adjusted EBITDA up roughly 37% year on year, helped by a record weekend off the opening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which took $355 million domestically and $927 million worldwide.
